An international conference on the stability of Libya in North Africa, which has been in a state of civil war, was held in France, confirming that it will support the presidential and parliamentary elections next month on schedule.

However, there are many security issues such as the withdrawal of troops dispatched from abroad and the withdrawal of soldiers, and the focus will be on whether free and fair elections can be held.

The international conference for the stability of Libya was held in Paris, France on the 12th, and was attended by President Emmanuel Macron, Vice President Harris of the United States, and Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany.

In Libya, after the collapse of the dictatorial Kadafi administration 10 years ago, the country was divided into east and west and the state of civil war continued, but last year a ceasefire was realized, and the presidential election and parliament for national unification The election is scheduled for the 24th of next month.

At the meeting, we confirmed that the ceasefire will continue to be maintained and we will support the elections to proceed as planned, dispatch election monitoring teams by the United Nations, etc., and promptly withdraw foreign troops and soldiers who still remain in the field. I made an agreement about that.

At a post-conference press conference, President Macron said, "Russia and Turkey should withdraw security-threatening troops and troops," with military intervention by countries that have supported the East and West forces respectively. I appealed to end it.

Within Libya, the bargaining between political powers continues, and the focus is on the ability to hold free and fair elections amid a pile of challenges.
