A head-on collision between two vehicles overnight from Thursday to Friday around 2 a.m. near Mont-de-Marsan in the Landes claimed the lives of two young men, aged 19 and 20, reports

 The emergency services intervened to save these two victims.

In vain.

A third young man, aged 26, was transported in critical condition to Pellegrin hospital in Bordeaux, his prognosis for life was engaged.

A fourth person, 24, was also slightly injured and taken to the nearest hospital.

The cars would have collided almost head-on on the D834 road.
