“The security situation in Haiti is rapidly deteriorating.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada has decided to temporarily remove the support staff and family members of the employees of the Canadian embassy from Haiti, ”the Canadian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry noted that diplomats and consular workers remain in Port-au-Prince who are ready to provide assistance to Canadians in this country.
The Canadian diplomatic mission will continue to work.
Earlier, the United States confirmed the participation of the FBI in the release of the Americans abducted in Haiti.
