A false report returns the "EgyptAir" plane bound for Saudi Arabia to Cairo to Dammam

EgyptAir announced that the captain of a plane flying from Saudi Arabia to Egypt had received a report that there was a bomb on board the flight.

The company said, in a statement, that the captain of flight MS2688, heading from King Fahd International Airport in Dammam in the Eastern Province to Cairo International Airport, decided to return to Dammam Airport, due to a report that there was a bomb on the flight, according to the instructions of the authorities in the Kingdom.

The company explained that the plane returned again to King Fahd Airport, and landed safely, and after the security detection by the authorities in Saudi Arabia, and the inspection of the plane, it turned out to be a false threat.
