The current area between Ljugarn and Lojsta is 8,000 hectares and has up to 130 different landowners, reports Helagotland.

The 70 wind turbines that are planned are about 250 meters high and could deliver about 700 megawatts per year.

Vattenfall has so far arranged four meetings with affected landowners and on Friday the Ministry of Infrastructure will visit the island.

Then the plans will be presented.

- There is a long way to go and we are just at the beginning.

But we have to change and we need to expand all renewable energy, says Elin Davidsson, project manager at Vattenfall, to Helagotland.
