Former Secretary General Ishihara, who has served as chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Ishihara faction, has officially announced his intention to retire after failing to secure a seat in the previous House of Representatives election.

The Ishihara faction will maintain the faction and discuss with the successor chairman.

In the previous House of Representatives election, the former secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party, Ishihara, was unable to secure a seat, and the number of members was reduced from 10 before the election to 7.

At a faction meeting held on the 11th, Mr. Ishihara officially announced his intention to retire from the chairman, saying, "I lost the badge, and the Ishihara faction wants to close the curtain today."



Regarding his future activities, he said, "I would like to consult with the supporters' association and decide on a course. If possible, I would like to do my best in anticipation of the coming of Nara, but I apologize first."



In response to this, at the meeting, after confirming that the faction will be maintained, the successor chairman will be discussed mainly by Mr. Moriyama, the former chairman of the National Assembly Countermeasures Committee, who is the secretary-general.
