It is since the pandemic restrictions eased and the autumn term started that the staff at Perrongen noticed an increasing influx of young people.

On Fridays and Saturdays, it has been at most and upwards 220 people some evenings, according to staff that SVT spoke to.

Some evenings have resulted in a messy environment and even in some cases quarrels between staff and young people who have been asked to leave the place in connection with the unrest.

A total of approximately SEK 1 million will now be proposed to be set aside for the security-creating measures on site, of which SEK 500,000 will be spent on recruiting more staff and extended opening hours.

In the video, the chair of the culture committee, Cecilia Björk (S), tells more about the situation at Perrongen.
