It was shortly after 8 pm on Thursday evening that the police were alerted to Norberg.
An injured man was found, and the police began a preliminary investigation into attempted murder.
- It is based on the injuries the man has, says police spokesman Tobias Ahlén.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance, but how serious his injuries are, the police can not yet say.
The police have cordoned off an area around a residential building, and are on site with several patrols.
