“Poland and Turkey, NATO allies, will work together to counter the use of illegal migrants by the Lukashenka regime as a hybrid attack against neighbors,” the Polish foreign ministry said on Twitter.

The parties also agreed to coordinate efforts to end the "use of migration as a weapon."

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland would close checkpoints on the border with Belarus if migrants attempt to storm.
