32 years since the UN Convention

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, or the Convention on the Rights of the Child as it is often called, was adopted by the UN General Assembly on November 20, 1989. The light manifestation is usually held in Jönköping on November 20, but this year it has been postponed. the ongoing Democracy Week.

The impact of the pandemic

According to a report from the Ombudsman for Children released earlier this year, children's rights have not been adequately safeguarded during the pandemic.

"Sweden has not been prepared for children's rights during a social crisis," Elisabeth Dahlin, children's ombudsman, told SVT on 30 March.
