Andreas Fagervall is supervisor for Luleå municipality's outdoor facilities.

According to him, it depends entirely on the weather conditions how long a distance can be constructed and minus degrees are required.

Therefore, they are now waiting for the next cold snap to expand the course further.

"You should get something for your money"

Two years ago, a track fee was introduced and the municipality has invested that money in three snow cannons that made the job faster.

- We make sure to try to renew and improve ourselves all the time.

You have to get something for your money, says Andreas Fagervall.

Tough and windy for the skiers

The premiere skiers were met by positive temperatures and snow-mixed rain, but that did not stop Martin Juto, who was one of the few who looked out for Ormberget.

- It's hard now, it's blowing so damn and badly, says Martin Juto.

In the video above, you can see the storm that met the premiere riders.

Martin Juto was one of the few who dared to go out in the light wind when Ormberget's ski track opened.
