The chief Iranian negotiator, Ali Bagheri Kani, considered that his country will not negotiate in Vienna on the Iranian nuclear file, and that it will focus on the repercussions of Washington's withdrawal from the agreement and the sanctions, which he described as illegal, while Germany called for a constructive Iranian stance.

Bagheri Kani - who also holds the position of Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs - said that his country will not negotiate in Vienna on the Iranian nuclear file, because this file was settled in 2015 within the framework of the nuclear agreement.

He added in a statement that the main issue that Iran will negotiate on is the repercussions of the United States' withdrawal from the nuclear agreement and the "illegal" sanctions imposed on Tehran.

Bagheri Kani indicated that France can play a role in regional transactions and the course of negotiations that will start at the end of this month between Tehran and the "4+1" group.

As for Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian, he said that his country is ready to reach an agreement in the Vienna talks on the nuclear agreement, but added that the return of all parties to abide by their commitments in the agreement is an important and main principle.

On the other hand, German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Andre Zasse stressed that the aim of the next round of talks in Vienna is to fully implement the joint and comprehensive plan of action related to Iran's nuclear file as soon as possible.

She added, "We welcome the resumption of these talks in Vienna at the end of the month. Of course, we expect Iran to participate in them with a constructive attitude, and the goal remains to conclude these negotiations quickly."

Two days ago, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced his country's conditions for resuming the Vienna negotiations, saying that it would not discuss any regional issues, stressing that the region's affairs were discussed only with its countries.

He added that the United States should provide guarantees that it will not abandon the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers if talks to revive the agreement succeed.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman also confirmed that Tehran will not back down from steps to reduce compliance with the nuclear agreement before the sanctions are lifted all at once and in a verifiable way, stressing that Washington's insistence on keeping part of the sanctions imposed by former US President Donald Trump will lead the negotiations to a dead end.

On Tuesday, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army Aviv Kohavi said that the army is intensifying its preparations for a possible attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, stressing the acceleration of plans prepared to deal with Iran and its military nuclear threat, as he put it.

On the other hand, Iranian Army Commander Abd al-Rahim Mousavi said that Iran's response to any threat targeting its national security will not be limited to the Iranian borders, but will go beyond it to other places, and that Iran is able to respond wherever necessary.
