He said that the investigative authorities are now investigating the situation with torture.

Efarkin also said that the FSIN is taking measures to establish all the facts of what happened. 

“To date, five criminal cases have been initiated, 18 employees were dismissed from service for negative reasons, 11 people were brought to the strictest disciplinary responsibility,” Efarkin said.

Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee of Russia opened seven criminal cases on the facts of torture of prisoners in the Saratov region.
