Bus drivers from the RLV Mobilités network claimed to have been verbally attacked by one or more people this Tuesday afternoon in Riom (Puy-de-Dôme).

Passengers wanting to take the line between Ennezat and Châtel-Guyon (Puy-de-Dôme) who could not find a place on board the vehicle would have attacked the employees.

The facts denounced took place near the Marie-Laurencin high school in Riom, reports

Among the group of disgruntled users, some allegedly threw stones at the bus and insulted the driver.

They allegedly again engaged in verbal assaults shortly after in front of the town's train station.

The transport network serves the various municipalities of the urban community Riom Limagne et Volcans (RLV).

Frequent tensions

A community council was held this Tuesday evening.

RLV President Frédéric Bonnichon (LR) spoke on the subject.

"We will not remain without reacting and we will not let the situation get out of hand," he said, indicating his intention to file a complaint.

RLV Mobilités drivers exercised their right of withdrawal and bus traffic ceased at 6 p.m.

However, transport traffic resumed on Wednesday morning.
