The Dubai Press Club, representative of the General Secretariat of the Arab Press Award, revealed the names of the nominees from all over the Arab world and abroad, to be honored in the various categories of the award at its 20th session, while the winners will be honored on November 28, in a ceremony to be held on this occasion in the "Square Square". Al Wasl” at “Expo 2020 Dubai”, in the presence of leaders of media work in the region.

Deputy Director of the Award Jassem Al Shamsi stressed: “The award’s success over two decades in gaining the trust and respect of the profession, in light of the award’s commitment to a clear set of standards and values, foremost of which is integrity and transparency, to maintain its position as the most important forum for celebrating excellence in the world of Arab journalism.” Pointing out that reaching the list of nominees for the award is in fact a success in going a long way on the path of excellence and high professional performance.

The list included the top three nominees for each category of the award, including the institutions nominated for the investigative journalism category, and included a collective work published entitled “Clinical Trials.. Prescription for the Prevention of Diseases and Epidemics of the Age”, submitted by Nahed Al-Naqbi, Imad Abdel Hamid, Mustafa Khalifa and Noura Al-Amir , Ahmed Yahya and Mona Khalifa from the Emirati newspaper Al Bayan, and another topic was published under the title “Digging their graves with their own hands .. Stories of victims of archaeological excavations,” submitted by a group of journalists: Sameh Ghaith, Maha Salah El-Din, and Muhammad Al-Sawy from the Masrawy website, And the topic “Arab Unity Factories.. The nominations in the category of economic journalism also included a topic entitled “After Corona: Capitalism Suffers, Socialism Is Impossible, and the Alternative Under Discussion,” by journalist Kefaya Oller of the Saudi newspaper, “The Independent Arabia,” and a topic entitled “The statement navigates through the surface, deep and dark levels of the Internet,” submitted by all From Wael Al-Labaidi, and Sayed Saleh from the Emirati newspaper Al Bayan, a topic was published in the same category entitled “The Corona and Cyber ​​​​Duality Shaping the Future of Insurance”, presented by journalist Farouk Fayyad from the Emirati newspaper Al Khaleej.

As for the political journalism category, the nominations included a topic titled “Al-Zawahiri’s Years… What is Left of Al-Qaeda?” by journalist Kamil Al-Taweel from Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, and a topic entitled “The Neo-Ottomans” by journalist Dr. Ayman Samir from the Emirati newspaper Al Bayan. As for the category of human journalism, the nominations included a topic entitled “The Hell of Human Trafficking” by journalist Hoda Zakaria from the Egyptian newspaper Youm7, and a topic entitled “After the flood of the river.. In the cartoon category, the works of cartoonist Nawaf Al-Mulla from the Bahraini newspaper Al-Bilad, Sherif Arafa from the Emirati newspaper Al-Ittihad, and Nasser Al-Jaafari from the Jordanian newspaper Al-Rai were nominated for the award.

The nominees in the Arab Youth Journalism category included: Shehab Tarek from the Egyptian newspaper Akhbar Al-Adab, Abdullah Owais from the Masrawy website, Ziad Al-Fifi from the Saudi newspaper The Independent Arabia, Samar Medhat from the Egyptian newspaper Al-Dustour, Shaaban Bilal from the Egyptian website Cairo 24, and Ahmed Abu Al-Nasr From the Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan.

In the smart journalism category, Sabq electronic newspaper from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al-Watan newspaper from the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Independent Arabia newspaper from Saudi Arabia are nominated for the award.
