Accused of the rape and murder of three students in the Gai of the Orenburg region in another serious crime.

According to the investigation, 29-year-old Alexander Lazarev, before he committed a triple murder, raped another woman.

This became clear during the investigation of a high-profile criminal case, said Dmitry Annenkov, head of the criminalistics department of the Investigative Directorate of the ICR in the Orenburg Region.

An interview with him was published on November 9 on the agency's website. 

"No charges have been filed yet"

According to the investigation, the accused Alexander Lazarev was released from the colony in July this year and raped a woman the very next month. 

“In August, he committed another rape, which was simply latent: the victim did not want to declare it,” Dmitry Annenkov said.

He stressed that the rape victim "miraculously escaped death." 

"In any case, in his last testimony (the accused

) reported that he was not against killing her, but the circumstances simply did not work out," said a representative of the department.

Lawyer Irina Sanzhieva, who represents the interests of Lazarev, has so far refused to comment on the information that her client confessed to another rape.

“I cannot speak now about whether he did something else or not.

I will only say that no charges were brought against him for new crimes, ”Sanzhieva said in an interview with RT.

Denies rape

Recall that the bodies of two girls were found on September 30 in the city of Gay after extinguishing a fire in an apartment.

Then, in the courtyard of the house, another victim was found.

According to preliminary data, all of them were killed with a kitchen knife, which was found on the spot.

Three girls - 17, 18 and 19 years old - came from Bashkiria, studied at a local medical college and rented an apartment together.

After the incident, an 18-year-old acquaintance of the girls fell under suspicion, but it soon became clear that he was not involved in the murder.

On October 3, officers of the police patrol service in Orsk detained 29-year-old Alexander Lazarev while trying to steal a car.

Prior to that, investigators extended the orientation to a previously convicted man.

Two days later, the ICR published a video of an investigative experiment in which the suspect shows how he dealt with the girls.

On the tape, he is asked to show in which parts of the body he stabbed.

The investigation accuses Lazarev of five criminal offenses: "Murder of two or more persons, associated with rape", "Rape combined with a threat of murder, including against a minor," including in relation to a minor ”,“ Intentional damage to another's property, committed by arson with causing significant damage ”and“ Unlawful possession of a car ”.

On October 5, the court detained Lazarev until November 30.

The accused himself said at the trial that he was not against the measure of restraint in the form of arrest in a pre-trial detention center.

He also pleaded guilty to murder, arson and car theft.

At the same time, the man denies that he raped the girls.

Earlier, the lawyer Irina Sanzhieva told reporters about this.

As the interlocutor explained, Lazarev claims that the victims were not against sexual intercourse with him.

Found bloody clothes

In turn, the representative of the Orenburg TFR Dmitry Annenkov in his interview stressed that the students were not familiar with Lazarev.

“A lot of information appeared on the Internet that he was their acquaintance, that the girls were supposedly of easy virtue.

He was absolutely a stranger to them.

Nothing should have tied them up that evening: he saw them on the street, because he lived not far from their house, ”Annenkov said.

According to the investigation, after the crime, the suspect set fire to the apartment to hide his tracks.

Despite this, the investigators have collected enough evidence that confirms the version that it was Lazarev who raped and killed the girls, added Dmitry Annenkov.

Inspection of the small apartment where the crime occurred lasted about a day, five criminologists participated in it.

The involvement of Lazarev was also confirmed by the results of a number of examinations, including the clothes of the accused.

She was found in a forest belt near the crime scene, she was all stained with blood, the investigator added.

According to RT, Lazarev had already been tried before: for robbery in 2010 and murder in 2012.

He has been serving his sentence in a maximum security colony since December 2012.

In January 2021, the Orenburg Regional Court ruled on Lazarev's appeal to replace the remaining term of imprisonment with a milder form of punishment, and was released in the summer.

According to the materials of the court, Lazarev was characterized positively in the colony.

At the same time, during the years of imprisonment, he violated the order of serving the sentence 15 times.

For this he was reprimanded, fined and sent to a punishment cell.

In 2017, Lazarev got married.

He has a daughter.
