Park Wan-joo, chairman of the policy committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, said today (8th) regarding the additional payment of disaster aid to all citizens, "If the additional tax revenue is about 10 to 15 trillion won, the amount available to all citizens is 200,000 to 250,000 won."



After making this statement in a radio interview today, Chairman Park said, "If there is an agreement, we can review the level."



Earlier, on the 31st of last month, Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung insisted on the size of the national disaster relief fund, "at least 300,000 to 500,000 won (per person)."



On the 4th, Rep. Woo Won-sik, the co-election chairperson, said in a radio interview, "It takes about 13 trillion won to make 250,000 won."



Regarding the timing and method, Chairman Park said, "The third supplementary budget is imminent within this year, and we can review the main budget or the number of cases before the election (additional budget) or after the election (additional budget)."



Regarding the controversy over ticket sales that may arise when paying before the election, he said, "If there has been a character of encouraging consumption and comfort so far, isn't there something to support in line with With Corona? It would be better to leave the decision to the people,” he said.



Chairman Park said, "Three times, the United States gave 5% of GDP per capita to all citizens, while Japan was 2.3% and Korea was 1.3%."We believe that we can provide additional disaster relief funds that match the national dignity.”
