Mansour bin Mohammed chairs the second meeting of the Dubai Border Security Council at the Expo headquarters

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council, confirmed that the council's strategy and operational plans are in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to enhance the emirate’s security capabilities in achieving the highest levels of efficiency in protecting border crossings, upgrading the professional and technical capabilities of the teams based on the security of the ports, and confirming the highest levels of readiness to deal with various forms of risks and challenges, thus contributing to achieving security and safety for the community.

This came during His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum chairing the second meeting of the Council, which was held this morning (Monday) at the headquarters of "Expo 2020 Dubai" and within the 71|50 platform of the future government, in the presence of Lieutenant-General Mohammed Al-Marri, Vice Chairman of the Council, and Sheikh Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, Major General Obaid Muhair Bin Suroor, Major General Ahmed Mohammed Bin Thani, Jamal Al Hai, Ibrahim Hussein Ahli, and Dr. Abdullah Bu Sanad, Muhammad Al-Langawi, and the Secretary General of the Council Omar Ali Salem Al-Adidi.

During the meeting, His Highness, Chairman of the Dubai Border Crossing Security Council, praised the tireless efforts made by government departments and relevant authorities represented in the Council, and his role in raising the level of coordination and cooperation between government agencies concerned with supervising border crossings at the local and federal levels, and exchanging knowledge, experiences, experiences and practices among them, in order to enhance To implement the strategic plan of the Emirate in the axes related to the security of the border crossings, and to improve performance to reach its highest levels, and to ensure the competitiveness of the Emirate in this field at the regional and international levels.

The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, and a number of decisions were adopted in implementation of the directives of His Highness the President of the Council during the field tours he made during the past weeks and included a number of the emirate’s border crossings, the most important of which are: the Hatta land port development project because of its importance as a point Vital transit, whether for passengers or for land freight operations, and the formation of a committee to regulate and secure maritime navigation in the Emirate of Dubai, to review and study the affairs of the maritime sector in the emirate in terms of operational, economic and environmental terms, as well as forming a strategy and indicators team and assigning it to review strategic issues and raise appropriate perceptions about them.

It is worth noting that the Dubai Border Ports Security Council is the authority concerned with drawing up the general policy and strategic plans of the Emirate of Dubai regarding border crossings in coordination with the relevant local and federal authorities, providing opinion and advice to the Government of Dubai on the security of border crossings, preparing a comprehensive strategy in this regard, and drawing up a general policy for it. In which the objectives and privacy of each border crossing are taken into account, and the necessary recommendations to support and develop them are proposed, as well as supervising the implementation of the general policy and strategic plans adopted for the security of border crossings in line with the general trends at the state level.
