Björn Wetterling was out walking on Södermalm on National Day this year when he was hit by a person on an electric scooter.
He was seriously injured and taken to hospital with a bleeding head and with shoulders that jumped out of joint with fractures.
The 15-year-old suspect escaped from the scene of the accident.
But before that, he took a picture of the electric scooter to end the trip.
The 15-year-old is now being prosecuted for causing bodily injury and infection from a traffic accident site, which Dagens Nyheter reported on.

According to the plaintiff's lawyer, it is expected that the case will be taken to court.
- Of course we had expected this.
It is a solid investigation.
My client was terribly badly injured.
At the same time, it is a pity that it is such a young boy who caused the injury, says Mari Schaub-Iggström, the plaintiff's lawyer.
The case will be taken up in the district court on Friday.
