Carl Hedin grew up in the stable at the riding school in the 00's.

Then, just like today, the boys who rode were few.

But for Carl Hedin, the greatest resistance was outside the stable, in the community around him.

- People looked at me askance, said shitty things and whined when I left the stop at the stable, he says.

Today, Carl Hedin is an elite-level dressage rider and Sweden's greatest horse influencer.

He has written a book, Hästpojken, together with the journalist Frida Bank, about growing up as a guy with riding as a hobby.

- It is an interesting structure that we have many successful male riders, but it is probably important to highlight role models during the journey as well so young people have something to relate to, he says.

SVT took Carl Hedin to Farsta Riding School in Stockholm, where he got to meet two guys who chose to go to riding camp during the autumn holidays.
