The frigate "Admiral Essen" conducted exercises in the Black Sea

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Black Sea Fleet.

It is noted that "during the training, the frigate's air defense crew took on escort and destroyed the aircraft of the conditional enemy with anti-aircraft missile weapons."

It is reported that according to the plan of the maneuvers, the control center of the Black Sea Fleet received data on the takeoff of a group of simulated enemy aircraft in the direction of the Crimea.

The targets were conditionally destroyed before the aircraft entered the combat course.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet began to control the actions of the US Navy's headquarters ship Mount Whitney and the American destroyer USS Porter, armed with cruise missiles. 

The State Duma also commented on the activity of American warships in the Black Sea.
