• Hollywood The surprising change of style of Shiloh, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

  • Image What is Angelina Jolie wearing in her mouth at the premiere of her latest film?

We are living in times of regression, in which stereotypes and labels that seemed outdated are dusted off.

In which the way of acting, dressing, etc.

it seems to invite to qualify people beyond what they really are.

In which unnecessary and absurd labels are multiplied to infinity.

In the 80s, for example, everyone, mainly our favorite artists, wore whatever clothes they wanted, wore their hair more or less long and used makeup or

not according to their preference, regardless of their gender.

None of these devices changed the material fact of the sex of these people.

It seemed then, that at last, the stale gender stereotypes were beginning to collapse.

Gender is behavior.

Norms, stereotypes, roles, that are imposed on us based on our sex.

It is what is expected of us, not what we are.

The tool with which women are oppressed and the root of all the injustices and violence that we suffer

.

It is not something innate and immovable,

it is not in our genes or brain and of course, it is not an "identity".

From feminism we have always advocated for the abolition of gender.

For letting the personalities of girls and boys grow and develop without impositions.

Without being

born a female, tranquility,

obedience, beauty, dolls and kitchens, long hair, pink colors and flowing dresses

are expected from a girl

.

These are dark times for childhood.

In which if a girl prefers to

wear short hair, a tracksuit, play soccer,

climb trees and get dirty;

She runs the risk of being labeled a "trans child" and being driven down a path of life-long dependence on drugs and surgeries that will take a toll on her healthy body.

Certainly there are minors who reject their sex and suffer from the so-called dysphoria or gender incongruity.

Disorder that generates deep discomfort and needs to be addressed by a qualified professional who delves into its causes and proposes solutions aimed at making that girl or boy feel comfortable in their own body.

Unfortunately it is not what is being done.

Minors

are being pushed

to "transition" by discarding

less invasive

alternatives

.

Autism spectrum disorders, depression, eating disorders, bullying, violence, sexual abuse are overlooked.

Or the influence of social networks.

Situations that could generate rejection of the body itself and should be prioritized.

Many professionals are being cornered into accepting "transition" as the only way, at the risk of being branded from applying conversion therapies otherwise.

Authorized voices on child dysphoria, such as Dr. Kenneth Zucker, an expert in child dysphoria, or the Malaga Transsexuality Unit, have agreed that around 85% of minors spontaneously give up identifying with the opposite sex after the puberty.

It could be the case of Shiloh, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: as a child she apparently identified more with the opposite gender and now a teenager she identifies more with the female gender.

As we have said:

appearance is somewhat artificial, so she would remain a woman

even if she continued to wear a suit and tie.

Beyond speculations of what happens in the life of this girl, we know from the few statements of her parents in this regard that she liked to dress like her male brothers and that they called him John, like their favorite story character. That for them this was another characteristic of their daughter, who liked ties like other girls superhero capes.

At no time did they affirm that he was a "trans child",

although some claimed to take her as a reference in that sense.

From what we can deduce from the times in which she appeared publicly, there was no family conflict in which the girl expressed her personality freely and wore the haircut or the clothes with which she was most comfortable, which

at that time coincided with what has been associated with the "masculine".

And as seen in her latest appearances, at the age of fifteen, she seems to feel more comfortable wearing other types of clothing, such as dresses, earrings, or longer hair; aspect associated with the "feminine".

And that's it: a person with tastes that change over time.

A girl whose parents respected her preferences in something as superfluous as physical appearance.

Without labeling her or concluding that her body was wrong

and had to be adapted to her way of dressing.
