The Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher opens the door for participation to foreign teachers

The Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher announced the launch of its fourth session, opening the way for foreign and non-Arabic speaking teachers in private and international schools to apply and register in English, and a group of Arab and foreign countries joined it, namely Syria, Morocco, Iraq and Tunisia, along with Switzerland, Finland and Austria, and to develop plans Qualitative development in a step towards conveying the educational award message to the world.

This came during the press conference held at Expo 2020 Dubai yesterday, during which he shed light on the developmental developments of the award in its new session, in a step towards conveying the educational message of the award to the world.

The Minister of Education and General Supervisor of the Award, Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, said during his speech at the conference

“The award was launched in 2017, and within this short period of time, it has received a positive and wide response in the various participating countries, and this reflects its value, goals and sustainable educational vision.” It calls for concerted efforts to continue the successes it achieves every year by implementing the best plans and strategies.

He pointed out that the award seeks universality and access to every teacher in all parts of the world, and in this regard, Switzerland, Finland and Austria have joined the award, which is something that we are pleased with and indicates a great global educational movement in which the award will be the main player.

The Secretary-General of the award, Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Darmaki, said:

“The fourth cycle will be divided into two phases, where the first year includes five well-established criteria based on them, namely excellence in achievement, creativity, innovation, development, sustainable education, positive citizenship, and community and professional leadership. These are main criteria 20%, projects and initiatives 20%, community innovation 20%, entrepreneurial initiative 30%, and public vote 10%.”
