The municipality of Boxholm made a new decision on the question of whether Glada Bonden dairy should continue to use the municipal coat of arms on its label when selling Genuine Boxholm cheese, Boxholm municipality writes in a press release.

The dairy follows the municipality's wishes and changes the label.

Previously, the dairy must have received permission to use the municipal coat of arms on the cheese packaging via a verbal agreement.

- It was nice to be able to use the weapon initially, we have found other symbolism that we think works well enough to manifest the real connection to place and origin, says Glada Bonden's chairman Anders Birgersson in the press release.

The cheese packaging with the municipal coat of arms on the grocery store shelves will be phased out gradually, at the same time as the current high sales rate contributes to their immediate disappearance.
