A large oil tanker exploded in the suburbs of Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone in western Africa, shortly after a car accident, killing more than 100 people.



According to the Associated Press and Reuters, on the 5th at 10 pm local time, at an intersection on the outskirts of Freetown, a large 12-meter-long tanker collided with another truck and exploded.



At least 99 people were killed in the accident, and 30 of the 100 injured who were taken to the hospital are said to be in danger.



Foreign media reported that the second explosion occurred while many people gathered to fix the oil leak from the tanker right after the car accident.
