Former Governor Cuomo (Ap)

November 05, 2021Andrew Cuomo returns to hope. The district attorney of Albany, the capital of the state of New York, wrote a letter to the court casting serious doubts on the charges brought against the former governor, accused of sexual harassment by a woman, Brittany Commisso.

In particular, it explains how the appeal filed against Cuomo is "potentially defective", with formal and substantial defects. For example, this appeal is not accompanied by the declaration under oath of the woman who proclaimed herself a victim. The Albany County Sheriff is then accused of filing the appeal "unilaterally and inexplicably" without first consulting the district attorney himself.

Furthermore, some parts of Brittany Commisso's testimony that, in the opinion of the prosecutor, could "exonerate" Cuomo have been removed from the appeal.

Thus, the appearance of the former governor before the Court, initially scheduled for November 17, has been postponed to January.

In the meantime, we will try to shed light on the matter.
