November 5, 2021 In Germany struggling with the fourth wave of the epidemic, the president of Thuringia, Bodo Ramelow, has threatened to stop treating the unvaccinated in hospitals if the pressure on health facilities rises too much.

Bild reports it.

Saxony will instead be the first German Land to limit, from next Monday, access to restaurants, bars and cultural events only to those who are immunized, that is, those who are vaccinated or cured of Covid, excluding the possibility of a swab as a pass.

The possibility of adopting a reinforced greenpass in Germany was welcomed by the conference of regional health councilors with Minister Jens Spahn, who hypothesized the use of the more severe "2G" regime in regions where Covid should re-explode to the point of reporting hospitals in emergency. A situation, which is already occurring in some eastern Laender, such as Saxony and Thuringia.

Kretschmer, the Saxon governor, said that introducing some restrictions for the unvaccinated is the way to go precisely to avoid new lockdowns.

According to reports from the Bild, the president of Thuringia Ramelow was even tougher, so much so that he went so far as to say: "we will not be able to guarantee anyone who comes to the hospital without the protection of the vaccine, which can be treated here".

Ramelow said he received 1,200 hate messages on Twitter, after publishing a post announcing that he had received the so-called "booster", the third dose.

Meanwhile, in his region, he said, the health situation is already at the limit.
