"At present, there is an increased demand for the transportation of coal products in the western direction from both Russian and Kazakh shippers," TASS reports.

Russian Railways stressed that "there are no artificial restrictions on the part of Russian Railways in the transportation of goods from Kazakhstan."

Earlier, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities, Andrei Gerus, said that Russia had blocked coal supplies to Ukraine from Kazakhstan.

According to him, the blocking occurs by the Russian Railways company, which does not give permission for the passage of wagons with coal through Russia.
