The gendarmes of Hérault launched an appeal for witnesses, to find a mother and her daughter, on the run for months.

Fanny Birenbaum, a 31-year-old nurse from Hérault, and her 6-year-old daughter Maëva disappeared on March 4.

"They would have stayed in Ardèche, Var and Ariège," indicates the Hérault gendarmerie.

Since then, the child has not set foot again in the school where she is enrolled, in the Lunellois.

The nurse has not given any further news to her relatives or to the child's father since.

An arrest warrant was issued in March, as part of an investigation for the subtraction of a minor.

It is Lunel's research brigade which is investigating.

The gendarmes are listening to any information that could help find them.

Fanny Birenbaum, who can also be called Stéphanie, indicates the gendarmerie, measures 1.62 m, has blue eyes and long light brown hair.
