"One of the defendants had an object that looked like a knife"

The criminal case under the article on hooliganism (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) after the attack in New Moscow was transferred to the Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, the incident took place in the area of ​​Novovatutinsky Avenue.

“In the evening, a group of people, being near residential buildings located on Novovatutinsky Prospekt in New Moscow, attacked two men, one of whom had a small child in his arms, and was beaten.

By their actions, the defendants have created a threat to the life and health of a young child, "- said in the message of the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee in Moscow.

It is noted that the victims were identified during the incident, and investigators are working with them.

In addition, specialists check the child's condition.

“Currently, all parties to the conflict are being identified, the actions of each of which will be given a proper legal assessment.

The investigation continues, ”the department stressed.

In turn, the Moscow prosecutor's office said that the department monitors the progress of the investigation, as well as the observance of the child's procedural rights.

According to the message, the boy is four years old, at the time of the incident he was with his father and his friend.

“According to the father, one of the attackers hit the child on the cheek, and one of the defendants had an object that looked like a knife,” the prosecutor's office noted.

Earlier, the leadership of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow also took control of the investigation of the incident.

Meanwhile, a video of the conflict appeared on the network, during which a group of people attacked a man with a small child.

The author of the video writes that the attackers were outsiders.

Subsequently, an eyewitness to the events told RT about the details of the conflict.

According to him, during the scuffle, the man "offered to fight one on one," but the whole group attacked him.

“I saw a man with a child in his arms running away from a group of people, as I understood they had a fight over something.

When he put the child on the ground, they began to beat the man in the face, the child ran to the side, a woman looked after him, ”said the interlocutor of RT.

The young man added that he reported the details of the incident to law enforcement officers. 

After the conflict in Novye Vatutinki, local residents began to publish videos on social networks, where, presumably, a police raid is taking place - according to eyewitnesses, law enforcement officers detained migrants and construction workers, and also interrogated witnesses.

Another eyewitness to the incident told RT that the victims were interviewed by the police who arrived in the area as part of the raid.

The man added that the victim had abrasions on his face.

The incident in the Moscow metro

Recall that a resonant incident took place in Moscow in early October.

A group of men attacked a passenger on the metro, who stood up for the girl.

The conflict began after one of the passengers reprimanded the men for being too loud, in response to which she heard insults.

One of the passengers approached the men to make a remark, they began to beat him with their hands and feet.

The posted footage showed that the beating continued even after the man stopped resisting and ended up on the floor.

At the same time, the attackers shouted at other passengers, demanding that eyewitnesses not interfere and shouting threats against them.

Subsequently, it became known that the 25-year-old resident of the capital, Roman Kovalev, stood up for the girl.

After the fight, he was hospitalized.

Roman's girlfriend told RT that he received "a fracture of the nose and bone under the eye." 

The attackers were detained, a criminal case was opened against them under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempted Murder”).

Later, the Investigative Committee noted Kovalev's act with the departmental medal "Valor and Courage".

The UK stressed that the man showed an active civic stance and courage, despite the numerical superiority on the part of the attackers.

In addition, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin instructed the metro management to provide the victim with assistance in the amount of 2 million rubles.
