State Department approved the sale of US missiles to Saudi Arabia for $ 650 million

"The State Department has approved a possible sale to Saudi Arabia of advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles and related equipment for an estimated $ 650 million," RIA Novosti reported.

As noted, Saudi Arabia is asking to sell 280 missiles, about 600 rail launch bases and auxiliary equipment.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the United States offered Ankara to purchase F-16 fighters after it was excluded from the F-35 fighter program.

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced the start of the fighter procurement procedure.
