The Civil Aviation Authority in the State of Kuwait formed an investigation committee after circulating a video clip documenting two planes that carried out landing and take-off at the same time.

The Civil Aviation Authority commented on its Twitter account in a statement, and the statement read: “In response to the video circulating in social media, about the landing and take-off of two planes at Kuwait International Airport, we would like to clarify that the General Administration of Civil Aviation immediately implemented Security and safety procedures are in accordance with international standards followed in such cases, and it has formed an investigation committee to find out the reasons and hold those who are proven to be negligent to be held accountable, and to apply legal procedures in this regard.

For his part, the pilot, Captain Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, said, through his account on "Twitter" in the details of the incident, that "the pilot reached the minimum altitude, and did not obtain permission to land, while the other plane is still on the runway."

Al-Ghamdi pointed out that the origin in such cases is to cancel the landing and follow the previously drawn and known escape route, in order to avoid convergence between the planes.

He pointed out that "the error was common between the air controller and the pilot who was preparing to take off," and doubted that the pilot in the landing plane had tried to land quickly.

Civil Aviation: We have implemented security and safety measures in accordance with international standards, and we have formed an investigation committee to hold the negligent accountable.
