• Caesar, a 21-year-old student, developed a free mobile game called

    Game of Stations

    in a week

    .

  • The principle is to list the stations of the same line and to continue on the other lines thanks to the connections.

  • This fun and easy-to-learn program is just one of the young developer's projects.

To win, you have to be good all the way. Soberly called

Jeu des stations *

, this fun app was created in a week by César, 21 years old. The principle is simple, "to reconstitute the whole of the Parisian metropolitan network". To achieve this, it is necessary to list the stations of the network, on condition that they are located on the same metro line, with the possibility of changing lines using the connections.

“I have been living in Paris since September and every day, I take the metro,” says the young developer.

By force, we end up memorizing the stations, we begin to know the network.

With friends, we had fun playing the game of stations, but orally.

And since I'm a computer science student, I decided to combine the two and that's how I created the game. ”In total, there are 304 metro stations to find, which requires a sacred good memory.

“It's possible to get to the end of the 304 stations in one go, because all the stations are connected,” says César.

I have never succeeded, but if anyone does, I am in awe.

"

Free and open source

Very attentive to feedback from users whom he considers "always super constructive", César makes sure "to improve the game so that it is less frustrating". Thus, he added the possibility of activating a system of auto-completion of the names of the stations and of having recourse to clues. The game is free for "a smoother and less restrictive experience" and

open source

, allowing everyone to improve the code of the app. "If I have to make the game pay off, it's because I would need to make a living from it," said the young man. Right now I'm a student so I don't need to earn any income from it. "

Above all, this app is just one program among others created by César, who himself claims to be not very into video games.

“I have developed other apps, for example, a

to-do-list

with the design of the metro, an RSS feed reader, an app for reading a social science journal,” he lists.

Moreover, if his future is still unclear, he sees it in connection with the social sciences, which he studied before embarking on computer programming.

Who said that the socio had no future?
