The head of Uzkomnadzor was fired after an inconsistent shutdown of the work of social networks

This was stated by the deputy head of the administration, the press secretary of the Uzbek president, Sherzod Asadov.

“On behalf of the President, the head of the State Inspection for Control in the Sphere of Informatization and Telecommunications Golibsher Ziyayev was relieved of his post for erroneous and uncoordinated actions, investigative actions will be carried out on the incident,” he wrote in Telegram.

According to the results of the investigation, measures will be taken against all responsible leaders who were guilty of the incident.

Earlier it was reported that Uzkomnadzor restricted the work of social networks and messengers Telegram, Facebook, Odnoklassniki and YouTube due to violation of the law on personal data.

After that, the head of Uzkomnadzor, Ziyayev, was removed from his duties.
