He said that new licenses have been issued in recent days to French fishermen.

INTERVIEW

Discussions continued on Tuesday between Paris and London to settle their dispute over fishing licenses granted to Europeans after Brexit.

The threat of French sanctions still looms but no decision is expected before Thursday at least.

Guest from Europe Morning Wednesday, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, Minister Delegate in charge of Transport, explained that new licenses have been issued in recent days.

"We are making progress. On Monday, 49 more licenses were issued. Negotiations are underway until Thursday to see how we can move forward on this subject," he said.

"I had the opportunity to speak with my British counterpart two days ago and I can say that the mood is constructive."
