The dome of Al Wasl Square at Expo 2020 Dubai was decorated, the day before yesterday, with a performance of the poem “Zayed by Zayed”, which was launched in conjunction with the seventeenth anniversary of the departure of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, on November 2, 2004, and that In a message of loyalty and gratitude for the kindness of the founding father, whose good memory did not leave the hearts of the sons of the Islamic and Arab nation, and everyone who knew him in the world.
The poem was written by poet Ali Al-Khawar, sung by the Emirates Choir, and its expressive words were composed by composer Fayez Al-Saeed.
Pictures and videos of the light show on the giant dome of Al-Wasl Square were selected from the Ramesh Library and the National Archives, and most of them are being shown for the first time.
The lyrics of the poem “Zayed visited her” say:
Zayed visited her..and increased her beauty
He smiled at the reality of his presence and the imagination

The show was preceded by a prayer of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, in the voice of the reader, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais.
Director Nahla bin Fahd Al Muhairi, Director of Emirati Content Department at Expo 2020 Dubai, said: "I wrote the poem (Zayed Zayid), which is distinguished in a style and words that embody our idea and imagination, so that we feel, by displaying photos and videos of Sheikh Zayed, that he actually visited us at (Expo), and looked On the achievement that brought the countries of the world together, and that his visit made the dome of Al Wasl Square and the site of (Expo) more beautiful, and smiled at the reality of his presence and imagination;
