02 November 2021 "Nero Giallo", the international review of the Instituto Cervantes dedicated to the detective novel, reaches its 5th edition. On 3 and 4 November the Italian offices of the Spanish language and culture institute (Rome, Palermo, Naples and Milan) as well as those of Stockholm (host country of this edition) and Madrid, present the cycle of noir meetings with events both in presence and online.



Two days to tell and analyze the 

novela negra

, with some of the most authoritative European and Latin American authors, protagonists of conferences, meetings and round tables in presence - in Rome, Palermo and Stockholm - and in streaming on the YouTube channels and social networks of the offices of the 'Instituto Cervantes involved in this edition.



In particular in Rome, Wednesday 3 November at 6 pm in the Sala Dalí, the authors Ángel de la Calle and Romano de Marco will be the protagonists of the round table entitled “Graphic novel and noir”. The combination of image and word, fiction and comics, is at the center of this meeting / dialogue moderated by Luigi Politano, with free access with a green pass.



Also scheduled is a tribute to Andrea Camilleri (1925-2019), on 3 and 4 November at 11 am in streaming on YouTube, with Marta Barrio (Spain), Juana Salabert (France), Javier Puebla (Spain) and Juan Carlos Chirinos ( Venezuela). In the two virtual meetings the protagonists will analyze the writing of the great Sicilian author through some texts and personal reflections.

in addition, the writers Ricardo Silva Romero and Leonardo Padrón will respond on Twitter to a series of questions and curiosities from readers.



Among the guests expected at Nero Giallo 2021 there will also be Maurizio de Giovanni and Paolo Roversi (protagonists of "virtual walks", respectively in Naples and Milan), Giuseppina Torregrossa, the Spanish writers Yanet Acosta, César Pérez Gellida, Inés Plana, Ana Lena Rivera and Ignacio del Valle.

The review is completed by the Argentines Clara Obligado and Claudia Piñeiro, the Venezuelan Rubi Guerra, the Mexican Jorge Volpi and the writers María Fernanda Ampuero (Ecuador), Anna Bågstam (Sweden) and Mercedes Rosende (Uruguay).
