Russian universities have the right to extend the distance learning format after November 8, the Ministry of Education and Science reported.

"From November 8, 2021, universities and research organizations have the right to continue to conduct training in the form of independent work or in a remote format using distance technologies," the department said.

They clarified that universities must ensure uninterrupted access of students to the electronic information and educational environment, as well as monitor the quality of distance learning technologies.

In the case of the introduction of independent work, educational institutions are obliged to provide students with methodological support and no later than three days in advance to warn about the volume of work.

Also, universities should monitor the progress in mastering the program in order to maintain the quality of education.

"Interim certification can also be carried out remotely," the ministry said.

Virologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Anatoly Altstein, in an interview with RT, recalled that one of the most important anti-epidemic measures is to break the connection between people so that they communicate less with each other.

“Working remotely or this kind of training is one of the important measures,” the virologist emphasized.

He added that now there is a difficult epidemiological situation.

“Now our epidemic is at a high level, such a measure is useful.

You can get out of this only by vaccination.

It can take quite a long time without vaccination, ”concluded Altstein.

Recall that in Russia, by decree of President Vladimir Putin, the days from October 30 to November 7 were declared non-working in order to break the chains of the spread of coronavirus infection.

The authorities of the Russian regions have the right to make decisions on the extension of this regime, taking into account the epidemiological situation.

Leading specialist of the center.

“Both the general epidemic state and the general health condition of children this year on average - regardless of the coronavirus - are worse.

And it is clear that they began to get sick more often.

Including more often, stronger and more dangerous to get sick with COVID-19, ”said Lisitsyn.
