About ten walkers from around Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle) were surprised by the rising tide on Monday afternoon in Pleubian (Côtes-d'Armor).

The visitors had taken advantage of the weekend of All Saints to make a walk on the furrow of Talbert.

The water which engulfed in a breach dug by a winter storm prevented them from regaining the shore.

The people of Lorraine all escaped unharmed.

Their mishap required the mobilization of the Cross Corsen, alerted by witnesses.

The National Society for Rescue at Sea (SNSM) of Pleubian was sent on site to provide assistance to walkers.

However, the specialists were unable to reach the group by boat, in which there were two children aged 8 and 10.

A diver therefore got into the water.

Provide assistance and reassure

The rescuers' objective was also to reassure the castaways.

The latter, however, had not given in to panic.

“We waited for help, there was no question of trying to cross and apart from two heavy downpours there was no damage,” one of them testified.

The walkers were finally able to take place in the early evening in the 4 × 4 of the SNSM.

The people of Lorraine who had passed through the strike had not yet seen the warning, which was only present on the path of the furrow.
