02 November 2021Facebook, without any warning or motivation, blocked the page of Vladimir Osečkin, founder of the human rights organization Gulagu.net, who conducted a journalistic investigation into the torture and rape of detainees in the Russian penal colonies .



The first part of the documentary-investigation that cited prison administration officials personally involved in the torture was uploaded on 1 November, totaling 400,000 views in 10 hours.

Osečkin's profile had almost 5,000 friends and 12,4,000 followers.

The account has been verified by Facebook with a verification sign.

Now Osečkin has appealed to the administration of FB, demanding the restoration of his account as soon as possible.
