“On November 2, at 14:00, Belarus began supplying electricity to the Ukrainian energy system with a capacity of 500 MW under the emergency assistance agreement.

Deliveries are carried out at the request of the Ukrainian side, ”the Belarusian Energy Ministry said in a statement.

Deliveries will be made until 21:00.

Long-term commercial contracts, in addition to those signed earlier, are out of the question, the ministry said.

On October 23, there were reports that the Slavyanskaya thermal power plant, located in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, stopped working due to a lack of coal.

Later it became known about Ukraine's intention to resume the import of electricity from Belarus on November 1.
