Recently, the British regent spent a night in hospital, according to a later statement from Buckingham Palace to be examined and tested.

Queen Elizabeth has also canceled her participation in the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland.

Before that, she canceled a trip to Northern Ireland.

And now her doctor has prescribed at least two weeks of rest and no official visits.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson told Channel 4 News that he had spoken to Her Majesty, who is "in very good shape".

But the hospital stay, canceled commitments and writings about Queen Elizabeth's health have raised British concerns about her state of health.

Newspapers such as The Times refer to sources who, among other things, say that she is "finished" after working intensively during the pandemic.

At the same time, she continues to vigorously and alertly hold video meetings from Windsor Castle, and was seen driving her property on Monday.

- There is a concern among ordinary people, or a concern.

She is very well-liked and you want her to live long, "God save the queen" et cetera, says James Savage, founder of the online magazine The Local and born and raised in the UK.

Stopped riding - but driving

Anna-Maja Persson, SVT's correspondent in London, says that several things stand out, including that the queen in a short time has had to stop with several routines that are important to her.

- A while ago, she had to stop taking her daily Dry martini, which she loves.

And in September she stopped riding.

Then she could not go to church last Sunday and not this weekend either, says Persson.

- At the same time, it is a 95-year-old who has not had a single hospital day in eight years.

But then trying to darken it leads to rumors and restrains anxiety.

Both Anna-Maja Persson and James Savage believe that the court initially did not tell about the hospital stay, which has fueled speculation about the head of state.

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary was crowned in 1953, just 27 years old.

She is the oldest British monarch of all time and the British monarch who has ruled for the longest time.

When the queen turned 90 on April 21, 2016, three out of four Britons wanted her to remain until her death.

- She primarily symbolizes continuity in a world where everything else has changed, says James Savage.

- Of course, everyone knows that no one lives forever, but on another level it is very difficult for people to imagine a monarchy and a Britain without her.
