The old Cumbre volcano on the island of La Palma in Spain has been erupting for 6 weeks, and there is no sign of stopping so far. The strongest earthquake since the eruption occurred on October 30.

However, more and more tourists are visiting the island for a glimpse of the spectacular volcanic eruption.

Monitoring data show that since the eruption of the volcano on September 19, magma has swallowed more than 900 hectares of land, equivalent to more than 1,300 football fields.

The temperature of the magma reached 1,300 degrees Celsius, destroying more than 2,500 buildings and many banana plantations.

According to the Spanish Broadcasting Corporation, a large number of tourists arrived on La Palma during the Halloween holiday.

However, official tourism data has not yet been released, and the number of tourists is currently unclear.

The local government prohibits tourists from getting too close to the volcano, restricts tourist routes, and provides free tourist buses to ensure that tourists stay in a safe area.
