A grim record.

During the night from Sunday to Monday, the Halloween festivities degenerated in several districts of Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) and its surroundings.

Several vehicles were set on fire and violence broke out between gangs and the police, targeted by stone throws and mortar fire as reported in

Les Latest Nouvelles d'Alsace.

Urban violence has also affected other surrounding municipalities, requiring the intervention of the gendarmes.

The clashes did not injure the police, who made two arrests.

Firefighters also intervened for several dumpster and trash can fires in the Mulhouse metropolitan area.

Calm gradually returned during the night.
