01 November 2021 Mourning in Formula 1: Antonia Tanzi, a 50-year-old engineer, protagonist in the racing world of the early 2000s, died in a car accident along a motorway in England.

The Gazzetta di Modena gave the news of the tragedy.

Originally from the municipality of San Felice in the Lower Modena area, Terzi graduated in Engineering from the University of Modena and entered the racing department of Ferrari in Maranello, in the aerodynamics sector.

Subsequently, Williams had hired her and had always appointed her as head of aerodynamics. It was Antonia Terzi who took care of the project, who in 2004 made the "walrus" nose of the FW26 debut with the Williams Formula One car to give the driver Juan Pablo Montoya an extra chance. “She's a good girl, very tenacious and determined,” Frank Williams declared at the time.

Those were the years of the domination of the red from Maranello driven by Jean Todt and Michael Schumacher on the track.

And from the Williams team they also express their official condolences through a tweet: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of our former colleague and head of aerodynamics, Antonia Terzi. Our thoughts go out to Antonia's friends and family in this difficult moment" .
