Serpent à Plume: Making Mixology an Art

Aperitif> Cocktail bar - 15-30 euros

Serpent A Plume is an anachronism that reveals itself in the modernized nostalgia of the historic Place des Vosges.

Its name is inspired by the supernatural identity found in many Mesopotamian regions.

Dualism is symbolic for the different references of the old and the new.

Serpent A Plume is the day, a library, an espresso bar and a sort of gallery of destinations.

In the evening, Serpent A Plume turns into a masterclass lounge, influencing the spirit of the 70s with the grandeur of Mesoamerica.

It's clear why Serpent A Plume is making a name for itself as it weaves its way through the city.

Château d'Eau metro station: Guided tour: The colorful Indian district with bewitching, irresistible and immortal fragrances

Experiences> Visit - 10-13 euros

The lecturer will take you from the bottom of the rue du Faubourg Saint Denis to the two Hindu temples, one of which is known to all, the temple of the god Ganesh, the elephant-headed god, and the other to virtually no one. You will learn about Indian culture, its gastronomy and its religions, including Buddhism which was born in India although it became practically non-existent in its country of origin from the 12th century AD. The last work of the lecturer Michel Banassat, the Buddhist Treatise on Life after Life, constitutes in a way an academic synthesis between Buddhism and Brahmanism which will later become Hinduism, because we find there roughly the same astrology and the same gods, these taking another dimension, a dimension so to speak less deistic, in Buddhism, not to mention the concept of ahimsa, of non-violence, inherited from the Great Buddhist Compassion and of which he will speak with full knowledge of the facts because he is also the author of the Buddhist Defense of the Rights and the Life of Animals. It is all the phantasmagoria of mysterious and exuberant India, with in particular its animal fables and its animal gods, which will be revealed to you here.
