In recognition of their efforts to protect the community

Mohamed bin Zayed directs to grant golden residency to workers in the first line of defense and their families

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Head of the National Pride Office, directed to grant golden residency to humanitarian heroes and distinguished cadres working in the "first line of defense" and their families, in appreciation of their exceptional efforts in protecting the UAE community during Covid-19 pandemic.

His Highness’ humanitarian initiative comes to grant the families of the heroes of humanity and the distinguished “first line of defense” who are eligible for golden residency to provide them with more family and social stability, within the framework of the continuous support provided by the state to the first line of defense who have contributed faithfully and hard work in promoting public health in the country .

It is noteworthy that the UAE has implemented a long-term residence visa system, for five or ten years, that is automatically renewed, when the same conditions are met, for certain categories that include investors, entrepreneurs and specialized talents.

This new system allows residents of the UAE, foreign expatriates and their families wishing to come to work, live and study in the country, the possibility of enjoying long-term residency without the need for an Emirati sponsor.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, issued Federal Decree No. 95 of 2020 establishing the "Pride of the Nation" office, headed by His Highness, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and aims to appreciate the efforts of participants on the front lines in times of emergency and crises.

The "Pride of the Nation" office aims to mobilize community support to show due appreciation for frontline workers, recognize their efforts and sacrifices, cherish and be proud of them, care for frontline workers and follow up and support their needs.

The strategic tasks of the Fakhr Al-Watan office focus on following up the affairs of workers in the first line of defense, and securing solutions that take care of their priorities and meet their aspirations, whether they are working in medical facilities, or in the field of prevention, protection and provision of basic services.
