Kenji Wakamiya, Minister of the Liberal Democratic Party, was unable to secure a seat in the 5th district of Tokyo, which is a single-seat constituency.

Mr. Wakamiya is running for the proportional representation in Tokyo block, and will wait for the result of the proportional representation.

Mr. Wakamiya is 60 years old.

He was elected for the first time in the 2005 House of Representatives election, and was appointed as the Minister in charge of the Expo in the Kishida Cabinet and achieved his first entry into the cabinet.



In this election, Mr. Wakamiya appealed for both measures against the new corona and economic reconstruction, aiming for the fifth election, but in the single-seat constituency Tokyo 5th district, Mr. Yoshio Tezuka, a former member of the Constitutional Democratic Party, did not.
