The funeral of Roh Tae-woo, the 13th President of the Republic of Korea, was held today (30th) at 9 am at Seoul National University Hospital.

After a funeral service centered on the bereaved family in front of his home in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, where he stayed until just before his death, the remains of the deceased will be moved to a funeral service that will be held from 11 a.m. at the Olympic Park Peace Square in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The funeral will be attended by no more than 50 people, including Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom, chairman of the funeral service, Minister of the Interior and Safety Jeon Jeon-cheol, chairman of the funeral execution committee, as well as bereaved relatives and relatives and members of the funeral committee.

Democratic Party leaders, including Democratic Party leader Song Young-gil, said they would not attend the funeral.

Lee Jun-seok, representative of the People's Power, will visit the funeral.

The government decided to minimize the number of people attending the funeral in consideration of the deceased's wishes for a frugal funeral and the COVID-19 situation.

Former Prime Minister Roh Jae-bong and announcer Son Beom-soo will host the memorial service. Singer In Soon-i and tenor Im Woong-gyun will sing the theme song of the 1988 Seoul Olympics, 'Hand in Hands' as a tribute.

After the funeral, cremation procedures will be held at Seoul Memorial Park in Seocho-gu, and the remains of the deceased will be temporarily placed at Geomdansa Temple in Paju, Gyeonggi-do around 4:30 PM, and will soon be buried in Paju Unification Garden.
