The National Police have arrested

a 28-year-old man

in

Plasencia (Cáceres)

for wounding his ex-girlfriend and her current partner, both 47, with a knife.


The event occurred last night and is being investigated as a presumed case of gender violence that occurred last night, around 0035 hours. The alleged assailant had a restraining order for not being able to approach his former partner.



Apparently, the detainee tried to cut the neck, with a knife, of the current partner of his ex-girlfriend. The victim, who is admitted to the

Hospital de Plasencia

, is in serious but stable condition, but is in the ICU.



The woman who suffered a cut on her hand is also admitted, as well as multiple concussions.



The aggressor is in the premises of the

National Police

where the pertinent police procedures are instructed.



The detainee is being investigated for the alleged crimes of attempted homicide, gender violence and violation of the restraining order.

The alert of the event was given by a neighbor who called 112.
